The co-founder of Sky Mavis, the firm behind the successful play-to-earn game Axie Infinity, experienced a significant breach of his personal crypto wallets. Hacker(s) took more than $10 million in various crypto assets, with the lion's share being RON, the native token of the Ronin Chain designed for Axie Infinity.

According to data, the cybercriminal managed to get their hands on 3.2 million RON valued at over $9.53 million, and over $834,000 Worth of Wrapped Ethereum (ETH). Some pigment tokens from the gaming platform Pixels, SLP coins from Axie Infinity's metaverse, USDC stablecoins, and 164 AXS were also included in the theft.

The stolen assets are believed to have been converted to ETH and deposited into Tornado Cash. This crypto mixer is currently facing legal issues in the US, where it is alleged that North Korean hackers used it to launder stolen coins, some of which were from a previous Ronin hack.

In response to the incident, the co-founder emphasised that it did not affect the Ronin chain or Sky Mavis operations and reassured that the project shall continue its mission of bringing 'economic freedom' to its users.
