Coinbase Expands in Poland With Blik Mobile Payments Integration

Coinbase, a leading US-based cryptocurrency exchange, is enhancing its presence in Poland by offering expanded payment options through integration with the widely-used mobile payment system, Blik. This strategic move comes as local regulations continue to hinder the crypto market in Poland, showcasing Coinbase’s commitment to improving transaction efficiency and convenience for its users.

The introduction of Blik is facilitated by a partnership with PPro, a renowned European payment processor. Blik’s user base of nearly 20 million individuals in Poland signifies a substantial market for Coinbase to tap into. The adoption of this payment method allows for smoother and faster transactions, making it easier for Polish users to engage with cryptocurrency through a familiar payment system.

The initiative was highlighted by Côme Prost, a Coinbase executive who joined the company to spearhead operations in France, with this collaboration expected to broaden Coinbase's appeal in the European region. This development is part of Coinbase’s broader strategy to enhance its footprint in Europe, increasing accessibility to cryptocurrency services.

Meanwhile, in the realm of Artificial Intelligence, Fetch.ai is preparing to launch a system in January that promises to streamline online retail processes. This new platform claims to offer AI agents capable of overcoming the limitations faced by current tools, particularly in completing online payments. The Fetch.ai system supports transactions using credit cards, stablecoins, as well as its proprietary FET tokens, positioning itself as a versatile player in the evolving AI and cryptocurrency landscape.
