Crypto Lender 3AC's Co-Founder Su Zhu to Be Released: Court Reports

By: Eliza Bennet

Three Arrows Capital (3AC) co-founder Su Zhu has been interrogated in a Singapore court over the bankruptcy of the cryptocurrency lending firm he helped establish. Following the questioning, reports anticipate Zhu's release by the end of this month based on good behavior. Zhu was arrested in Singapore in September 2023 when trying to leave the country post a court sentencing him to four months in prison. The joint liquidator of 3AC, Teneo, expressed that Zhu intended to assist in matters related to 3AC and help reclaim assets from the defunct establishment.

In a recent court hearing, Zhu faced his first interrogation in Singapore responding to Teneo lawyers over a span of two days. Lawyers were seeking details about the failure of the fund and the location of assets. Based on sources affiliated with the matter, Zhu is expected to be released soon due to provisions for good behavior.
