Despite significant public criticism, spot Bitcoin ETFs are set to start trading this Thursday. Among those who approved the initiative was Gary Gensler and two other committee members, marking a historic moment for the first-ever spot Bitcoin ETFs to be offered in the U.S.

However, the decision couldn't help but spark some controversy. In an unexpected twist, one crypto-allied SEC Commissioner expressed concern, arguing the approval arrived far too late, effectively suggesting the SEC 'squandered a decade' by not approving Bitcoin ETFs sooner.
