Mondelēz International Joins Hedera Council to Accelerate DLT Adoption

Global food and snacking corporation Mondelēz International, known for its Oreo, Cadbury, and Toblerone brands, has become a member of the Hedera Council. This partnership will allow Mondelēz to utilize the Hedera blockchain to upgrade digital transformation, supply chain management, and customer engagement strategies. The Hedera Council, composed of a variety of organizations, oversees the Hedera network, a public ledger tailored to decentralized economic activities.

The commitment of Mondelēz International to digital innovation and business improvements through the adoption of DLT and Web3 technologies is underscored by this move. Mondelēz International plans to explore and create DLT-based solutions on the Hedera network as a part of the council. This collaboration promises to simplify operations and foster innovation across the company's extensive network that spans over 80 countries and more than 91000 employees globally.

Hedera has recently announced several partnerships, such as an alliance with Hitachi America, Ltd. and a $250 million agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Investment. These tie-ups signify Hedera's solid position in the blockchain and DLT sector and their ability to support diverse applications across various industries.
