Nym Technologies Partners with Liquid Federation to Enhance Bitcoin Layer-2 Security

Nym Technologies, a privacy-focused infrastructure provider for Web3, has joined the Liquid Federation to bolster the Bitcoin layer-2 ecosystem. The federation is a consortium of crypto-native organizations, including exchanges, trading desks, and developers, which are integral to the operation of the Bitcoin sidechain, the Liquid Network.

In its new role, Nym Technologies will operate as one of the 15 dispersed functionary node operators for the Liquid Network. This role is significant in administering the network's core infrastructure and transactions. In addition, the partnership with the Liquid Federation and Blockstream, Liquid’s technical provider, seeks to integrate Liquid functionality into Nym's mixnet, promising higher privacy standards for Bitcoin layer-2 users.

Separately, a Peter Thiel-backed Ethereum Layer-2, known as Layer N, has launched a new liquidity program. This new program, according to Layer N CEO Dima Romanov, is paving the way for new innovation and growth in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.
