In a series of interesting developments in the NFT space, global businesses and iconic institutions are embracing the NFT wave. Dairy Queen, a popular ice cream and fast-food chain, has announced a partnership with local NFT project Weirdo Ghost Gang to set up a pop-up NFT store in Chengdu, China. The move is aimed at offering consumers an enhanced understanding of the NFT art IP as well as foster stronger connections.

In another development, an online game sales platform G2A has decided to delve into the world of blockchain gaming. Similarly, the NHL has opened up its version of NBA Top Shot to everyone, thereby enabling the minting of video highlights as collectibles on the Polygon network.

The art industry too has welcomed NFTs with open arms. The New York MoMA recently added tokenized artworks to its permanent collection, becoming the first major institution to acquire on-chain and AI-based non-fungible tokens. The NFT wave seems to be cresting with a mix of gaming and art, with more traditional brands and entities riding on it.
