Developers have released a version 1.17.31 update for the Solana blockchain network, aiming to create a solution for the congestion issues they have been facing. The update marks the start in a series of upgrades aiming to improve the network's congestion problem.
A rapid increase in transaction failures has been observed, largely due to Solana's popularity surge and high levels of network activity. This can be credited to automated bots looking for arbitrage possibilities.
Anza, a Solana-focused devshop, suggests that the update introduces several network enhancements. Network visibility improves against staked and non-staked packets, the process of low staked nodes in streamer QOS are refined, and there is an increase in minimum streams for staked nodes every 100ms.
In correlation to the new upgrade, Solana's native SOL token bounced back from a slump and observed a 10% gain during early trading hours. Following a drop in SOL prices over the weekend, this update has brought about a promising reversal for the blockchain.
