WLFI Token Sales Break Records With $590 Million Raised

World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance (DeFi) project endorsed by former President Donald Trump and his family, has successfully concluded its token sale, raising a staggering $590 million. This achievement places WLFI among the top ten largest token fundraising events in the cryptocurrency industry, highlighting the project's significant market impact.

The WLFI token was introduced as a governance asset for World Liberty Financial's forthcoming decentralized trading platform. With a total supply of 100 billion tokens, 35% has been earmarked for public distribution. The project's ability to engage the community is underscored by the governance function, granting token holders the power to vote on crucial proposals and participate in key decision-making processes within the platform.

The initial phase of the token sale launched in October 2024, offering 20 billion WLFI tokens at $0.015 per token exclusively to whitelisted participants. Despite an initial target of $300 million, the project experienced weak demand, prompting a revision to $30 million. However, a surge in interest followed Donald Trump's 2024 election victory, resulting in a complete sell-out of these tokens by January 20.

WLFI later released an additional 5 billion tokens to satisfy growing demand. Simultaneously, the project's crypto investments have been expanding significantly. Leveraging blockchain analytics data, World Liberty Financial has amassed a diverse portfolio now valued at nearly $78 million.

The portfolio includes transactions such as purchasing SEI tokens and a substantial holding of 7,900 Ethereum (ETH), along with notable investments in Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) and other cryptocurrencies such as Tron (TRX) and Ondo. The project has taken a strategic approach to diversify its assets, enhancing its standing in the crypto market.
